It’s why we live in Nebraska…

This is a funny story – sort of… This may look like an ordinary day at the lake at the Everett house but what’s funny about it is that this live duck (the white one) has been hanging out with this decoy (dark one) for about a month now. I’m sure the conversation is stellar and they get to do all sorts of fun things together. It is way to funny. The live duck just won’t leave the decoy alone.

Daisy and I went for a little walk at Ft. Kearny. She was panting and wanted a drink of water but I guess she felt she needed a little dip in the river as well!

A different kind of corn on the cob. We’ll soon see the cows grazing the fields for these tasty leftovers.

It’s time to pull the corn out of the fields and send it off.

Winter is upon us. Not much snow but enough to wake us up to the upcoming season. Time to get the yard in order for winter.
